So, unfortunately, within Google ads, the locations are only set at the campaign level, meaning you cannot add or remove locations to ad groups.
So, the way to map an ad group to a location is to use it at the campaign level. So, if you have ad groups in a campaign that you want to serve two different geo targets or locations, you would take the campaign, copy it, and then paste it to duplicate the campaign.
Once the campaigns are finished duplicating, you'll go into the new campaign. That's been set up under the campaign settings and then edit the locations.

That's a great question. So Google, fortunately, has a prebuilt report, that has all of your call data. If you're using the call extension.
So it's under reports, predefined reports, extensions, call details. Now I don't have any data to look at, but if you were using the call extension and driving phone calls, you would get the start time duration country code area code, color, phone number, recording status, call source call type campaign and ad group that generated the phone call.

How Do I Understand The Quality Score Of My Keywords?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in about two minutes. The question I've got in front of me here today is how do I understand the quality score of my keywords?
So I'm inside of a demo account demo campaign, and I've gone to the search keywords tab, and I've made sure that I have these four columns pulled up the quality score, expected, CTR landing, page experience, and ad relevance.
The latter three are the three components that make up a quality score. And you could see as I'm hovering over the titles here, Google ads give, uh, gives me a little bit of context, a little bit of explanation as to what these things are.
There's also, the helpful learn more link at the bottom. So definitely playing information available at your fingertips. If you want to understand what these things are.
And if this demo campaign had more data, you would be seen numbers from one, from one to 10 in here in the table.
Uh, and those ratings would also give me an idea of what Google thinks about the quality score of my keyword.
And then again, you know, that's going to be based on these three components here. Um, but yeah, the question is about understanding quality score.
I think hovering over each one of these columns is a great way to,  kind of educate yourself a bit on what the definitions are and what Google is evaluating when it comes to giving you a quality score rating.

What Is The Difference Between A Search Campaign And A Display Campaign?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in about two minutes. The question I've got right now is what is the difference between a search campaign and a display campaign?
So, I'm going to explain the difference with some examples. I'm going to first click over. And if this wasn't already clear, this is for Google ads, right?
This question pertains to the Google ads platform. I'm going to click over to this tab and I've got, I've conducted a search for digital marketing help which is obviously related to the hop service, right?
And you can see all these results showed up, including some ads at the top. And this is, this is the type of ad that's basically produced that you can create when you do a Google search campaign.
So, the goal of these campaigns is to appear for people that are demonstrating intent for something. So, I searched for digital marketing help.
I'm clearly in the market for digital marketing help. So, it makes sense for things like Fiverr and Upwork to bid in the auction in order to, you know, show an impression and potentially when my click, so paid search advertising very focused on, you know, reaching people that are in the market for something they're searching very specific things they're in research mode and potentially buy mode.
So that's paid search in a nutshell, there's so much more to it, but that's, that's, you know, this is an example of the kinds of ads that you would produce if you did a paid search campaign.
And in the overall strategy, I'm going to click over to this other tab, and this is a display campaign or display ad right here.
That's part of a display campaign. So, I'm on a different site, esquire.com. I'm not on the Google search engine. And the idea is, you know, I could just be, you know, reading an article, you know, looking at other contents.
But this ad kind of a display ad is sort of intercepting me getting in front of me, maybe based on the theme of the content that I'm reading or it, maybe it's a retargeting ad and is serving me something based on my previous, you know, website visits.
So, it's not, it's not like paid search where I'm demonstrating intent and I'm looking for something and I'm in research mode.
In this case with a display campaign, you're trying to sort of keep brands on that person's mind to kind of remind them that at one point they were interested or maybe tell them about a brand or a product for the first time, depending on the content of the page.
And obviously, they look quite different, right? Paid search is text-based. And this display campaign ad is very, very much a visual ad.

How Do I Link Google Ads With GMB?

My business? First of all, your business should be registered in Google my business and straightaway. I am going to my Google ads account and the left more side as an extension, click on the extensions and then click on this blue plus button and then click on litigation extensions.
Here, we have two major options like curated location, by the way, this is a new addition to the Google ads account.
And the second one is finding a Google my business account. And in this option, we could connect both accounts by our domain name, and in the third option linked to a google my business account.
I know in this option, we also connector, or we could connect both of accounts by urge, email, or Dez.
So, in the second option, I will just paste a domain name, copy link, address, and paste in here, Right? These are, are these reserves, Google my business has about techno Lang's.
So, I'm selecting one of them Like best on this like button. And you can also preview that, how it looked likes in the Google search results.

Where Do I Change Device Options?

Hi there and welcome to Hopps. My name's Ken, I'm a certified expert by the Hopps staff. I specifically focus on Google ads and Google analytics. And in today's video, we're going to walk you through our demo account within Google ads on how we change our device, targeting options. So, as you can see, we set up a generic test campaign to show you that we can tweak device bidding at the campaign or at the ad group structured level. So, if we're going to change it from the campaign level, which I'm in this particular campaign, so if I drill down further into this test campaign here, we're going to be able to click on devices on the left-hand side and then be able to see our targeting options at the campaign level. Now, if I'm running multiple ad groups, it's important that maybe I want to have more flexibility and changing that at the ad group level than at the campaign level. So, I just drill down further into the ad group, and then I click on my devices and I have the same options to tweak that. How Do I Automate Extensions Based On Upcoming Activity Dates?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in about two minutes. The question I'm looking at here is how do I automate extensions based on upcoming activity dates?
So you're going to come here to the extensions tab inside of your campaign and I'm going to go ahead and hit the blue button to create a new extension.
And for the purposes of this video, I'm going to choose the promotion. So obviously You would fill, let's say this is applicable to your campaign.
You want to run a promotion, uh, during a certain time window, you would fill these fields out. You know this is essentially how it's going to appear inside of your ad, the most important thing.
So, first of all, I'll actually, I'll start here. You can see there is kind of a date range picker, right?
Start date, end date. These are the dates that are going to show up right here in the extension that talk about when the sale was happening.
So this is what potential customers slash ad clickers are going to see, right? And so you can see now right here May 10th to May 17th.
So that's not the same thing as scheduling or automating the extension. You do that actually down here under advanced options.
You see how this popped out. This is where you choose the date range that these, um, are gonna are going to show during.
Um, so let's say, you know, during, we could just have the date range of maps. This is going up here, right?
So the 10th to the 17th. So what I would do is save this and then if you want to have a new promotion automatically start happening, you know, on the 18th and just the campaign roll into a new permit, uh, kind of promotion period, new extension showing I would do the same thing, but just have the date range, be the 18th, uh, you know, to whenever the promotion ends.

How Do I Know If A Google Ads Keyword Has A High Or Low Volume?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in about two minutes. I'm looking at a question here and it reads, how do I know if a Google ads keyword has a high or low volume of searches?
So that's a good question. And definitely, one that seems to lend itself to keyword research. So maybe you're you haven't built a campaign yet, or you want to add more keywords to your campaign?
Definitely. An important question to ask, is it high volume or low volume or somewhere in between? So inside of Google ads, I got to this screen by clicking on tools and settings, and I came to the keyword planner.
So definitely remember this tool and it's pretty simple to use. I've gone ahead and plugged in a couple of potential keywords that make sense for a company like Hopps, if they wanted to do paid search advertising.
So I'm inside of a demo account just to clarify. And here are the three keywords that, you know, let's pretend, I mean, I don't know anything about them.
Do a lot of people use these terms, do they not? You know, I want Google ads to tell me what kind of data it has on search volume for these things.
So, I plug them in and you could add up to 10, I believe at a time you hit get results.
And then this is the table that the keyword planner produces. It's pretty awesome. It gives you not just the keywords that I asked about, but it has given me a lot of others, you can see PPC management company, local, online marketing.
I mean, the list goes on and on, and it gives me things like the CPC and kind of a general rating on the competition.
But most importantly, when it comes to answering, comes to answering the question at hand search volume, is it high? Is it low?
This is a column you want to look at average, monthly searches, average, monthly searches. So, you can see it gives you ranges.
And yeah, I can let you know. I mean, is it just between a hundred searches and then a thousand?
Or is it, is it way more than that? The last couple of things I'll note here are you can change the date range that Google looks at when it produces an average monthly volume number.
And you can also reduce from, you know, an entire country like the United States down to specific States and cities if you so choose.

How Do I Set Up An Automatic Daily Budget Reset Function In Google Ads?

So to do that, there's a tool called automated rules. And to enable that select the campaign that you want to update, edit, create an automated rule Name, the role like daily budget change, select the action that you want the rule to do, which has changed budgets.
Change the average daily, set a new budget and specify the budget amount, check that it's selecting the right campaigns to make the change to, and then specify when you want the change to occur.
So it can be daily. It can be weekly, monthly, or a one-time change, Preview the rule to make sure that it works correctly. And then save the roll.

How Do I Create A Conversion Action In Google Ads?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help we try to answer commonly asked questions in two minutes. The question we are answering today is how do you set up conversion actions in Google ads?
The first step is to go under tools and settings conversions, Click on the plus sign to add a conversion. Now there are different options here, depending on what type of conversion you want to set up.
The most typical is a website action. Yeah, The category helps track different groups of conversions. If there are a lot of different actions you want to track select whichever one is most relevant for the action that you want to track.
In this case, I'll be setting up a purchase tag. Now under the conversion name, I typically like to also include the settings, which are the view through a number of days and the click-through number of days.
So this is a purchase 30 Day quick, so 30. See I abbreviated. And one day view. This also will by default be using a last-click attribution model.
So I will put that there, this is a purchase and so purchases might have different values. So I'm going to select use different values for each conversion.
I want to track every purchase. In some cases, if this was a lead, for example, that you're tracking, you might just want to select one for a unique, and then these can all be changed as well.
But these are the default settings that I'm going to stick to. Okay? And these are the different attribution models available.
Once the tag is set up, you'll now need to be installed on the website. Now I generally recommend using Google tag manager for this.
If you don't already have that setup, I recommend looking into that. If not, you can always hard-code the tag on your site.
Or if you have a developer that you work with, you can email them the tag directly. In this case, I'm going to install the tag myself.
And these are the scripts that need to be copied along with that event snippet that goes along with the purchase.
So this tag is what's called the universal tag, and this needs to be placed on every page between the head tags on your website, Right?
This event's snippet only needs to be placed, uh, and, and run when the event that you're trying to track occurs in this case would be a purchase.
I have it set on page load. So this would go for example, on the thank you page, uh, after a purchase.
And that's it. Now, if everything is set up correctly and you test your tag, you'll see that the tracking status will turn from unverified into verified.

How Do I Find The Daily Budget Expenditure For The Month?

Okay. So we can do this pretty quickly. I'm inside of Google ads and I'm just on the overview tab inside of my campaign.
And I've already got this setup. So let's say for the month of April, I wanted to know the daily expenditure.
All you need to do is make sure it's daily, right? So on the far right, these three dots. So you can do weekly, monthly, um, depending on the total date range that you're looking at and how much data is in there.
But yeah, this definitely makes sense to do last month, make sure it's daily and you can see, I mean, please, excuse the fact that this is a demo account and I'm not running campaigns inside of here, but if I was, you would see cost numbers for each one of these days.

How Do I Change The Smart And Standard Campaign Extensions? 

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions and about two minutes. So, the Google ads question I have in front of me is how do I change these smart and standard campaign extensions?
So, let's start with the standard campaign extensions, or they're just called extensions or ad extensions and inside of the extensions tab instead of Google ads.
So, you can see it here. So, it's under ads and extensions. So, if you wanted to create some extensions from scratch, all you do is click this blue circle, a button right here with the pause sign in the middle.
There are a lot of different ad extension options. Just so, just so you guys know, there's no time in this video to go through any of these in-depth.
They're all different, depending on the campaign, maybe some would work, maybe others wouldn't be a benefit. But basically, this is the starting point for you to create these kinds of extensions.
Now, if you wanted to edit a standard extension, you can do that from this screen as well. So, I've already created a couple of site link extensions for this demo campaign.
So, I'm going to click the site link. Let's pretend I did want to edit these. Let's say I wanted to edit the about us.
Want to click the pencil and then hit edit. So, let's say I wanted to do instead of our team, simple enough, I changed the text.
Okay. But I still like the final URL, so I will leave that. Okay. And now that text is changed.
I'm going to hit this X to exit out of here. If I had other kinds of extensions, they would also populate on this screen just to be clear.
Sitelink is the only one that I've worked on for this demo for the purposes of this demo. So that's why it's the only one here.
So those are the standard extensions. If I wanted to play around with automated extensions and what could or couldn't happen at the click that at the bottom.
So it brings me to this table where there's not any data, but that's okay. Go to the far, right. You're going to see three dots.
So it's more click than advanced options. Now, what you can do is change this radio button and let Google ads know that you want to turn off specific kinds of smart slash automated extensions.
And here are the ones that you can choose from to turn off. So, let's say, I didn't want seller ratings to appear.
You could select that. As you can see, there are other options it's best practice to leave these on, but absolutely understand how some advertisers may be.
Don't want to give Google as much control. And so, if that's your case, then this is where you can tell Google not to run certain smart extensions.

How Do I Know The Exact Time Of Conversion In Adwords?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in two minutes. The question we are answering today is how do I know the exact time of your conversion in Google ads?
So the short answer is you're not able to get the exact time of a conversion Google ads, but what you can do through the reporting is identify the date of the conversion and hour.
The conversion occurred based on the time zone settings in your account. So easy way to do that is to just go to their report builder.
And I'm going to build one from scratch. So, what you want to do is first add your date dimension. So I'm going to add the day and hour of the day.
Yeah. Okay. Now, an important thing to know about Google ads is when a conversion occurs, the default conversion metric is reported based upon the date and time of the click, not the date and time of their conversion.
So if you're using a standard look-back window of 30 days, someone could have clicked on your ad. Let's say, a week or two ago, and then converted, Google will record that conversion to the date of the click, which would have been one to two weeks ago.
So what you need to do instead to view the date of the conversion is pull in a different metric and it's called conversions by conversion time.
And they also have a conversion value in all conversions. These are conversions that are not being tracked as a account level conversion.
So, this allows you to then pull a report that has the date hour of day, and then the conversions by time, which is Google's metric of measuring the conversions of the date and time that they occur down to an hour level.
So, this is about as accurate as you can get with the exact time, if you needed a higher level of accuracy, you could also run a similar report like this in Google analytics which will get you down, which has E dimension for the minute.
The only difference is Google analytics well could attribute conversions to other channels. So, you might, so it uses a last non-direct click attribution versus Google ads.

How Do I Improve The "Quality" Of Leads Coming From Google Ads?

Hi, and welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer all of your frequently asked questions in under two minutes today, we're going to talk about how to get better quality leads from Google ads?
So, to get better quality leads, one, needs to make sure that you have conversion tracking set up. So, if you go under conversions and you're able to track leads.
So, I have some for-book appointments, people subscribing to emails people clicking to call. So, calls, emails, all of that are considered leads.
But how do you make sure that they're of better quality? The best way is to ask the client, or if you are the client yourself and you don't feel your leads are the best.
The first place to go is under demographics. Look at age. So for instance, with me, I know that 18 to 24 year old typically are not good quality leads.
So you could go and exclude that age from the ad group to make sure that you're not showing to people too young or too old.
Another good one to exclude is household income. So, you need to make sure that you're not in a band category, such as housing or credit where you can't do this, but if you can, you can exclude for me lower household income, because I want higher-income people.
I want people who are able to pay. So that's where I exclude lower incomes to make sure my ads are showing to higher-quality people.
Another way is based on keywords. So, if you want to make sure that your keywords are the highest intent. So, for instance, if you're a high service, you might want to go under tools and settings and under a negative keyword list, block keywords, such as cheap, inexpensive, low cost.
You get the idea so you can exclude these keywords and keep them as relevant as possible. So, thank you for taking the time today.

How Do I Create A Demo Google Ads Account?
