 How Do I Configure The Snapchat Pixel?

Hey, welcome to Hopps help where we try to answers commonly asked questions within two minutes. And today's question is how do you install a Snapchat pixel with Google tag manager?
The answer to that one is actually quite easy. What you wouldn't want to do is you go to Google tag manager; you go to the tags and create a new tag.
Once you created. It's going to request to specify the tech configuration. So, what we're gonna do now is actually click on the tech configuration is going to choose a tag type.
You, by default, there is no template that uses Snapchat. So, what you're going to do is you're going to go here to the search function sorry, go here to the discover tab times in the community template, and you're going to search for the snap pixel.
So, there are two versions. I like to use either boat either of them, but this one works fine by Snapchat. So, you just add this one and what that's going to do is going to create a template install on, on your Google tag manager, kind of like this.
So, once it opened up, you going to be able to do is configure the pixel ID. So, in this case, I have a constant stored for this value.
You can type the pixel ID here directly, or the constant, and then you just won the event type and linked to the, what triggered all of the rest of the fields are not important.
At least from a page view standpoint, if you need to add it to link into an add to cart or an e-commerce function, then you definitely need to add the price, the item, item, ID, et cetera, all that information for the conversion to happen.
The trigger's just like any, but any other trigger out there in this case I defined once the Dom is ready, then triggers the Snapchat pixel.

How Do I Install Google Tag Manager For My Shopify Site?

Hi there and welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in less than two minutes. My name is Frank Wade, and today's question is how to install Google tag manager on your Shopify site?
As you can see here, we have our demo Shopify site open. You're going to want to make sure that you go to your online store.
And from here, we're going to navigate over to actions. Actions are going to allow us to edit our files on our website that will allow us to install Google tag manager.
So from here, you'll see that there's a whole bunch of files, no need to feel overwhelmed. We only need access to the theme dot liquid for this basic installation.
Now, from here, we're going to want to navigate over to Google tag manager, where we can find our ID for our particular container from here.
If we click this first copy button, it'll copy our head tag for us, very convenient. And then we'll go back on over to our Shopify site.
We'll find our opening head tag here. And then once we find it if we just click at the end of that hit enter and then paste.
Now our Google tag manager script is in the correct place for the heading tag. Now, from there, we'll go down and we'll get this body tag by clicking the same copy button.
We'll head on back to our Shopify theme. And now the head tech should pretty much be at the top, but the body tag is going to take a bit of scrolling and a little bit of careful, um, careful eyes if you will.
Uh, I managed to find our body tag here after that. We'll just go to the end, the same way that we did with the head click enter, and then go ahead and paste that from there you can click save and that will install Google tag manager on your website with Shopify though, we do also need to install, um, tag manager on the checkout.
So you'll want to click settings go to checkout. And in this particular area, we actually only need the head script.
So we'll just take this, copy it. And we'll come on down. And then underneath additional scripts, we'll just paste this in first thing.
And then from there, you can go ahead and scroll all the way down, make sure to save those settings as well.

How Do I Track User Clicks On Tag Manager?

Hi there and welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in two minutes. Today's topic is how to track when users click a link on my website using Google Tag Manager?
So we have a demo website open over here, and we have our Google Tag Manager account open over here. We aren't going to be focusing on the tag because users could want to track a Facebook link click, or they could want to track it in Google analytics or within their Google ads account.
We're just going to focus on how to set up the trigger in order to actually track. And so in order to do this, we actually need to go to variables and we need to enable some of our built-in variables.
So we'll click on configure and then we'll scroll down till we get to clicks. And we'll just go ahead and enable all of these because there's a variety of different ways to track unique clicks, but this will help us kind of figure out which ones it is that we want to use.
So from here, I'm going to go with the simplest one for this particular demo, and that would be called now.
So I can see that click text here is an auto event variable, and then call now is the text that I want to track.
So what I'm going to go ahead and do is I'm going to create a trigger that trigger is going to be for just links.
And then it's going to be for some link clicks. If the click text equals call now in all caps because that's how we have it set up.
And then from there, you're going to want to name your trigger appropriately. So I'm going to put no call now link clicks as our title for that.
I'm going to go ahead and click save. And then from here now you've created your trigger. You can go ahead and apply that to any tag that you want to create.
If anyone were to click on this button, this will work for internal links within your website and external links as well.

How Do I Trigger The Event Of A Click On A Link That Is On Several Pages But That You Want To Measure On A Specific One?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in two minutes. The question we are answering today is how to trigger the event of a click on a link that is on several pages, but you only want to measure the click that's on a specific page in Google tag manager.
So, the way to do that is to set up your trigger. Some link clicks. Now you might have Something like a click ID that's shared across multiple pages.
And so, this would function as a normally does to track the link now to add a second condition, to only track the event and lean click on a specific page, you're going to add a second condition and you can either use the page path or page URL and then put in the page rule of the page that you wanted to fire on.

How Do I Make A Custom Variable That Captures The URL When A Conversion Occurs?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in two minutes. The question we are answering today is how do I make a custom variable that captures the URL when a conversion occurs?
So to do that, you'll want to first select the variable section and Google tag manager actually has a built-in variable that can capture the URL.
So click on configure and enable page URL. Make sure this is checked off Now that this variable is complete, it can be added to a tag So if you had an event that you wanted to track, you can now add in the page URL dynamically.
Now the trigger of the conversion you'll have to set that up separately, but this is how you would add the value of the page URL to an event.

How Do I Track Link Clicks On My Website Using Google Tag Manager And Have Them Associated With One Tag?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in two minutes. My name is Frank, and the question we're answering today is how do I track link clicks on my website through Google tag manager and have them associated with one tag?
So a good example of this would be if a user had a click to call on their website, they might have a call now button and the header.
They might have a call feature in the center of their page, and they might have a call feature in the footer of the page.
Now, if that's the case and we want to fire the same exact tag in every situation, we just want to have one trigger.
We don't want to have multiple triggers for that. And so I'm going to walk you step-by-step on how to do that.
So first you're going to want to go to variables within your Google tag manager account, and you're going to want to configure some variables.
And the variable that we're going to configure here is going to be click URL. So as you can see, mine's already enabled within this account, but yours may not be.
So make sure that that box is checked. Um, and then you can just go ahead and then exit out of there.
If we see under built-in variables, click URL, then we know that we're in good shape. Now we want to head on over to our trigger section and our triggers tell our tags how to operate and how to fire.
So we'll select new. And then from here, we can just click in this box or click this pencil, and then we're going to get a significant amount of options over here on the right-hand side for the type that we want.
We're now just going to select just links. We'll select some links. And then all we need to do is define our URL so we can actually paste in the URL here.
Um, in the example that I gave about clicking the call, it would be for a phone number. So I'll just go ahead and put, tell because this would be the trigger.
If we were clicking on a phone number on a website, and that would be all I'll name, this my quick call figure.
And that would be how you can fire multiple tags or the same tag for multiple clicks through one trigger. I hope that helps.

How Do I Install Google Tag Manager In Homestead Website Builder? 

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in two minutes. My name is Frank Wade and today's topic is how to install Google tag manager on a homestead website?
As we can see here, we have a demo homestead website up. This is going to be our general homestead account.
You're gonna want to make sure that you're in your website manager. And from there, you're going to go ahead and click on the edit site.
Now while that's loading, make sure that you have your Google tag manager account up because we're going to need these scripts.
If you're unfamiliar with how to get them. When you log into your account, you're going to just click on your unique ID.
They'll pop up right here for you and clicking these little buttons on the side will actually automatically copy the code for us as well.
So we're going to copy this head script, and then we're going to head back to our editor screen. So now back at the homestead editor, we can click on manage and then we can click on advanced and this will populate, uh, an area for us to actually install our scripts.
So you can see here, it says the page meta-tags will be added to the page head element, which is exactly where it tag manager has told us to add this.
So we just go ahead and paste in what we had copied earlier. The same thing with this body tag, click that copy button, come over here and then paste it right on in there.
After that, we can go ahead and click save. And then after saving, you can just go ahead and publish that once you publish this to your website, you'll be able to see that Google tag manager is now appropriately firing well, I hope that this helped you get Google tag manager installed on your homestead website.
