Hey there. Welcome to Hopps help where we answer questions in two minutes. Today's question is how do I correctly retarget video views of three seconds or longer?
Great question. And I'm going to take it a step further and go in and show you that way. But also going to show you a way to go and increase that retargeting audience, by doing certain criteria on your campaign.
So the first thing I'm gonna show you is to go ahead and create that audience of, or that retargeting audience for a three seconds video view.
So go ahead and hop into your audiences by going to the first log into Facebook, going to business.facebook.com logging in, go in and business tools, and selecting audiences.
Once you're here, go ahead and go to Crick. Go ahead and go to create an audience, excuse me, a custom audience, and then go to video press next.
Now go ahead for engagement. You'll see a dropdown go to people who have viewed at least three seconds of your video.
Select that retention is for how long you want it to go ahead and have that remarketing campaign. So for example, uh, 30 days is how long I want to have it go out.
The audience name would be whatever you want and then you would press create an audience. Now, the other thing I'm gonna show you is an ads manager.
So go ahead and go to business tools as manager. And then once you're here, either one creates a new campaign or as you see here, I'm going to select, edit on one.
I already have existing. So now go ahead and go to your ad set level, scroll all the way down to optimization and delivery.
You'll see here that right now it's selected for through play or we have one other option for two seconds, continuous video view.
So if your goal is to have that three-second video view, I would suggest go ahead and do it for two seconds to use for the view as this will give you a better chance for people to watch at least three seconds of it.
But if you're, if you're trying to do a wider video view, if you're trying to get at least 50% or 75%, that I would select that through play.
So it all depends on what your goal is. But for this example, I would select two seconds continuous video view, and also, one more thing, go to show more options.
And then when you get charged, it's usually based on impressions, but if you want to get based off of two seconds, continuous video views, go ahead and select that as well right there.
