How Do I Run Ads From Two Different Domains And Set Up Campaign-based Conversions?

H

Hopps Team

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions. In two minutes, the question we are answering today is how do I run ads from two different domains in the same Google ad account and in doing so set up a conversion only for specific campaigns? So to run ads for two different domains in the same ad account, you'll need separate campaigns for each domain. So in this example, I have a campaign for website one and a different campaign for a website too. So that would allow you to run different ads pointed at different domains. Now, to answer the second part of the question, which is to set up conversion tracking, let's say it's specific to that domain. You'll need to go to your conversions and make sure you have different conversion actions for the different websites or domains you're trying to track. So I have a purchase event for domain one and it purchases an event for domain Two. Okay. Now, by default, any of the conversions, you add to the conversion menu are set at the account level. So if someone clicked on an ad for a website, one bought something on website one, and also website to a, you might see both of those conversions in the campaign. And so if you want to filter that out, the way to do that is to click into the campaign, open up the settings, Additional Settings, and there under the conversions menu, by default, it will be set to account level. So you want to move this to the campaign level and choose conversion actions specific to this campaign. So I could say, okay, this is for website one. So I'm going to select this one, Save it, And now go over to the second website, open the conversion settings, And select domain two. So this method is how you attract different conversions across different domains. If there were more than one conversion, you want to track where the domain, you can group them into conversion action sets, and then the same processes you would assign the conversion action set to the campaign that you want to apply it to. I hope that helped if you need one-on-one help with Google ads, just hop on https://app.hopps.io/session/create to work with the live expert today. Thank you.
