Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions. And under two minutes, the question we're going to answer today is how do I track Shopify orders with Facebook ads?
So the first thing you're going to want to do is to make sure you set up what is called a Facebook pixel.
And to do this, you're going to want to go to business.facebook.com and access your business settings on the bottom left.
Once you do that, you want to go to data sources and you're going to go to pixels. Now, why do you need a pixel to track your Shopify orders?
Pixels are set up on your website so they can track all of the data that happens on your website from website visitors, to add to cards, to even purchases.
So today we're going to go ahead and create a brand new Facebook pixel by clicking on the big blue add button At the top.
Once you Do that, you're going to be prompted to a screen where you'll be able to name your pixel. So go ahead and give it a name for the purpose of this video.
We're going to do test Shopify. Now You're going to go through the steps of setting up your pixel. So click on soak the pixel.
Now go to add code using a partner integration. You're going to see Shopify at the bottom left. Okay. Now, once you go through this, you're going to actually click on, see instructions.
Okay. And it's going to guide you to a screen on how to set up your Shopify account pixel. Now it's actually quite simple.
I didn't realize there's going to be so much text here. So it's really just as simple as going to the settings on your Shopify and going to preferences on your store and you'll be able to add your code, right?
Your code is going to be here. So let's get out of this screen. You're going to get your code right here.
Okay? Copy this code, this, this ID. And you're going to add it to your Shopify store by going to your settings online store preferences.
And you'll see a section where you can install your pixel. Once you install your pixel, you are now all set up to tracking Shopify orders with your Facebook ads.
Now, how do you know if your sales are being tracked well in your pixel screen here, you can actually go to your events managers or go to the right where it says open an events manager.
And for the purpose Of this video, we are going to use a pixel that has had Some events. So here you'll be able to see all the events that happen on your website for people that visit the pages to the orders, to add the cards to everything.
So you can take this data, pair it up with your actual store and see if you have a correlation and everything matches correctly.
