How Do I Obtain The Total Number Of Unique Users?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in two minutes. The question we are answering today is how do I obtain the total number of unique users in Google analytics?
So, to find the users, it's actually a very easy number to pull. So, from the home page, this number right here is actually the number of users.
The second place you can look at it is under audience and overview. And this will give you some more detailed metrics about the users, such as the total number of users, as well as new users, and a breakdown of the percent of new versus returning.
Now be careful. So, when you're looking at this report, the data here is going to be tied to the segment above.
And so, if you need to pull total users across the site, you want to make sure that the segments up here are empty and it's reporting out on all users.
So, you can see how the number went up quite a bit. And in this date range, there were 15,064 users Hope that helped.

How Do I Block Bot Traffic From Analysis?

Hi there. Welcome to Hopps help where we try to answer commonly asked questions in two minutes. My name is Frank, and the question we're answering today is how to filter out bot traffic within Google analytics?
Once we log into our Google Analytics account, I'm actually logged into the demo account, hosted by Google. I'm going to go ahead and move my little avatar here into the center of the screen.
What you're going to want to do is you're going to want to go to the admin section, which can be found in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
You're also going to want to make sure that you're an admin on your account in this particular case, I'm not an admin on the account, but I can still show you the setting that you're going to want to update from here.
You're going to get three different columns. If you will. Our account column, our property column, and our view column, we're actually going to go ahead and alter the view settings in order to filter out this bot traffic.
So once we come to view settings here, we can scroll down and you'll see that there's actually a very simple check box.
That'll allow us to exclude all hits from known bots and spiders. And once you select that checkbox, you'll just scroll down and you'll click done.
And now you filtered your Google analytics account from bot traffic, or at least that particular view. I hope that helps.
